Privacy Policy

NIX ("NIX", "we", "us") is operated by AGL Labs LLC. NIX is an app that helps adults quit nicotine pouches, and is intended for adults 18 and older. This policy explains what information the app handles and what our server does with it. The short version: your quit data lives encrypted on your device, we run no user database and no accounts, and we do not sell personal data.

Data stored on your device

All of your quit data — your quit date, cravings, check-ins, pouch logs, and settings — is stored locally on your device only, and is encrypted at rest using a key held in the iOS Keychain. That means it is unreadable without unlocking your device. We do not operate a user database, and we have no user accounts. There is no profile of you on our servers.

Data sent to our server (AI coach and insights)

When you use the AI coach or the AI insights feature, the app sends the following to our server so it can generate a response:

• An anonymous device identifier (used only for rate limiting and abuse prevention)
• Quit context, such as days since quitting, your triggers, craving details, and your chat messages with the coach

Our server forwards that content to OpenAI to generate the coaching response or insight, then returns the result to your app. No name, email address, or account identity is collected or attached to these requests — we do not have that information. The server does not store your messages or quit context; the only server-side records are short-lived, in-memory rate-limit counters that reset automatically.

Subscriptions and payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat using an anonymous RevenueCat app-user ID. We never see your payment details, name, or billing information. Our server uses the anonymous ID only to verify that a subscription is active before serving AI features.

No ads, no tracking, no sale of data

NIX contains no ads. Our server runs no analytics or advertising SDKs and builds no advertising profiles. We do not sell personal data, and the app does not sell personal data.

Data retention and deletion

Because your data lives on your device, you are in control of it. Uninstalling the app, or using "Start over" in the app's settings, erases all locally stored data. Our server retains no per-user records beyond short-lived in-memory rate-limit counters, which expire on their own and are never written to disk.

Children

NIX is for adults 18 and older and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date.
